Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)
SBN is integrated with Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). PSAPs are call centers responsible for answering calls to emergency services such as police, fire, and medical. PSAP facilities also pass 911 calls on to public or private safety agencies. In today's world, PSAPS are also responsible for providing contact information.
When you create a new account, PSAP web service looks up the appropriate emergency services based off the address or GPS location of the account. It then retrieves the emergency services information for that account's location, and places it into SBN. This ensures the account has the correct emergency response for police, fire, and medical for your specific area for each installation.
